Marc was born in Rutherglen in Scotland. He began his professional career on The Challenge Tour where he finished top of the rankings in 2005 to graduate to The European Tour. He has three European Tour victories to his name, one in 2006, one in 2007 and the most recent coming in 2014. In 2014, Marc has showed off the sort of form that many believed he has always been capable of and finished a career high of 26th on The Race to Dubai.

Amateur Career

As an amateur, Marc was a member of East Kilbride Golf Club. He won the Doug Sanders World Boys Championship in 1994 and was English Amateur Champion in 1996. He was a part of the GB & I Walker Cup team in 2001 which was victorious against the United States and he holed the winning putt. He also represented Europe in the Bonallack Trophy in 2002.

European Tour

Marc joined The European Tour in 2006 and won Rookie of the Year. He has 3 victories to his name, plus a victory when playing with Colin Montgomerie representing Scotland in the World Cup in 2007. His first win was in 2006 at the EnterCard Scandanavian Masters and he won again the following year at The Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. 2014 has been his best year on Tour as he finished 26th on The Race to Dubai, having won his third event, the Made in Denmark tournament.
